how do you get your baby to look so real? i've tried a lot of methods and my babies look like i just dabed globs of paint over them. you can't really see the rosey cheeks or anything. i used the methods from the 6" babies and i'm not sure if that's what you do or not. don't you use the blush then the berry maker to put little dots and then bake it and then use the flesh and go over that then the details? is that what you do? i'm asking a lot of questions so...........i guess i really need help.

Thin, thin, thin LOL you really have to apply all your layers thin. Less is more. If you apply them too thick you get the globs!

oops..I must have been half asleep when I read your post the first time, I miss alot in there LOL. I personally don't use the berry maker. I use the sponge method however I have heard people who do use the berry maker method do apply the blush first then go back over it to apply the "mottling look" using the berry maker as far as when to apply it ,before or after flesh, I guess thats just a perefence. I think I would apply my flesh first then blush. Using the sponge, I've done it both ways and I really can't see a difference. Details (creases and ect) I usually do in between flesh layers.

I like the 6" 3-step method only on the 6" dolls (personal preference). The berrymakers are used to "remove" paint from the babies so they have that mottled look. I use the full method on my other babies which really gives a more realistic look, which is what we are all after.

The best suggestion is to get the beginner classroom training dvd and watch it all the way through before starting. YOu can stop, start, and also go to whatever place on the dvd you need to just so you get the technique right. It's really nice that way. I think you also still get a free CD with it for placement of the veins and so on.

Some of the girls and I have been using make up sponges and with tweezers pull small chunks out and the use that as a mottling blush, (in thin coats so as to be able to add more) so as not to give an all over even blush. Not all babies have motling in real life. XXXX June.
