Question about adding eyes with no eye sockets. HELP!

Hi,
I am really hoping someone can help. I purchased a reborn kit on eBay. The lady didnt mention she cut and completely removed the eye sockets, instead of just cutting part of it. Now there is no vinyl to hold the eyes in place. The doll takes oval eyes, and there is nothing to hold the eyes in place. Does anyone know how to put eyes on a doll that has no eye sockets, where they stay in place? I tried to just glue them on, but the glue squished through on to the eyes. I think this would be the same as adding eyes to a sleeping doll, but I have no idea how to do this. I would really appreciate your help. I already reborned the kit and love her, but right now she has no eyes:(

Thank you:)
Sandra

Hello,
I did read something like this in another forum. I have not had that problem. But, this was what was mentioned. They inserted the eyes, then cut a piece of felt little bigger than the eye. Put the felt behind the eye on the inside of the head. And use E6000 glue on the felt.  Your glue will secure the felt and hold the eye in place. And your glue doesn't get to the eyes. Hope that made sense.
Hope this may help.

You can also get yourself some eye wax made for holding eyes in on porcelains. Then once you wax the eyes in, put the E6000 on the back of the eye where the sockets were. You can also hold them with a stick made to fit inside the head till the glue is dry, pressing against the back of the eye and held at the back of the head for pressure. A little more complicated but at least the glue wouldn't be squishing through on the eye.
