if you curled it yourself you should try to take some of the baby mist of detangler, or even just water, and damp the hair them play with it or brush it to get the style that you want. hope this helps!!
There are three different types of Mohair...Curly, Wavey and Straight. It sounds like your baby has been rooted with the Curly type. Try a product called Silken Child by Silk Elements. This is a spray on Leave-In detangler you can purchase in salon suppliers shoppes or on several on line baby sites, possibly anywhere that carries hair products. Just spray this on your baby's hair and comb straight or style in the way you like it. It's great for Mohair; because ,it is a conditioner and moisturizer.
Anonymous Some shedding is normal for mohair however if there is alot of hair falling out then this could be a potential problem . If possible I'd return it/or contact the seller. Reputable reborn artists usually stand behind there work and can refund/advise/or fix the problem. Or if you know a little about reborning, you could always try to reglue it yourself.
If you are a reborner you can always take the babies head off and put a layer of glue inside where the hair is. Or you can contact the seller and ask IF they glued the hair inside and what they used.
As far as straightening the hair, just wet, comb gently, then put a nylon kneehigh stocking over it for a few days and it should lay fairly straight for you from there. :)
