I have 2 days to finish this baby and I am have no glazing gel. I have no time to order it. Is there anything I can purchase at a local craft store that may work. I am doing this baby for free because its one of my firsts. It doesn't have to be perfect. It is for a 4 year old little girl to play with. But I still want the realism of the gel. Any suggestions????
What will you be using the gel on? I mean for a slight moist eyelid look, ears and nose I sometimes use the air dry gloss I use to seal my nails with. Works great in a pinch. Hope this helps
That sounds good. Or you can go to your neighborhood ceramics shop and get some satin air dry sealer (Duncan brand). OOps, I see I'm probably too late. Hope you found one and Merry Christmas!
This is probably too late, but I've used Aleene's Paper Glaze in the past to moisten eyes, lips, nose, and top coat for nails ~ it worked great on the Secrist sculpts. I recently used it on a Reva Schick sculpt and it peeled on the lips so I had to remove it and re-do the lips with Genesis glaze.
You can get Aleene's Paper Glaze in most any craft store in the US.
I find that the Aleens paper glaze (Secrist baby tears) is too shiny for me (except if I want drool on the mouth). I mostly use the glazing gel or the Duncan products.
