I'm rooting my first doll, which is a Secrist "Tina". She has very fine blonde mohair. My problem is not with the rooting method itself, but the hair is so fine that even after the whole head is covered, she still looks bald (or sick). Also, when I tilt the head upside down I can't see any hair on the inside of the head (unless it's so fine its invisible.) Anyone had any similar problems?
I,m not a master, but rooting with fine white hair does seem to look to thin, I did Brian, and it looks like he has no hair but then my one year old grandson looks exactly the same as his hair is so white, and very short. You may need just to go over it again in the thinner areas.
I did a Tina with blonde and I couldn't see any "roots" inside the head either. I used 2 or 3 different shades of blonde. His (I changed the gender hehehe) hair looks thin too but it does show on the outside, just thin. I think it sounds like yours is ok. Even if you can't see any in the head, still do the glue
Thanks for the responses! I added more hair, especially to the top of her head. After gathering a little hair on top with a bow, she looks pretty cute.
