Does anyone know which Genesis colors to use to get a "peachy" color on the lips? I have the premixed "Peaches and Cream" paint set but the lips are too red for me.
have you thinned it with a bit of ouderless solvent, so that you can make it just barely there. I,m sure Pat B will be able to help with the correct suggestions, maybe you could mix some flesh tone in it to lighten it. But I think you just may have put it on a bit heavy.
TEA, if you buy premixed peaches and cream, shouldn't they be of a peachy nature to start with. Still stressed at using Genesis myself, but was never affaid to try any mixes with porcelain, just must have a phobia. Dont want to mess up anymore costly kits.
I just saw your replies to my original post. Thanks for the suggestion on mixing the colors. In fact, I just bought those colors to try and get the peachy look I wanted. However, the Peaches and Cream "lip" color was the color I used and it was still very red. I tried it on two different kits and it looked the same! So, I'm looking forward to trying this mixture on my next kit....hopefully, it will look like some of the sweet "peach lips" I've seen on other reborn dolls.
with the lip color you have to be sure you use just a very TINY amount on your brush and spread it till you think it won't spread any more, and then some. The color should never be that obvious, especially with the first layer. It already has thinning medium in it so no need to thin. I can't imagine how people get loud/bright/lipstick looking colors on their babies when it's applied thin like I said. Of course I'm using mostly Secrist kits which are neutral, but I have also done a few like Ariella and Vivien with them and still no problems. Hmmmm...
