 First time with Genisis, and have ruined a nice baby. First thing that happened was that one hand cracked near the thumb and finger on second firing. An now just when I thought the head was in for the last time ,milk pimples, ebrows, veinns bottom lashes, blushing and motling and last coat of matt finish, she came out with two cracked sides up to her ears from the tie ridge, What went wrong, how many time can you cook them???? oh my im so very sorry i have ordered some peaches and cream complexion paints and im terrified to try them, how many layers did you do before it cracked? i got some berenguers for 50% of from the local big W to test on first, i used acitone to clean of the hair, i had to scrub for hours....incredible HARD WORK!!! ill be buying bald from now on... im going to try my hand at rooting to, any tips you can give me?
id love to see how your first genese baby went, cracks and all. please post some pics

June, is your oven at right temperature my dolls get baked at least 15 times most times more (i use a bench top convection oven), The only thing i could think is that your oven is too hot which is cracking the vinyl, if it was a secrist doll and your 100% sure you oven is at right temp (130deg celcius) then give secrist an email, it might be something with the vinyl.

June, what heat did you bake baby at? Do you mean the vinyl split?

Use a tooth brush to scrub the old paint off, It makes it easier. June M

I doubt it is the Genesis. It could be the vinyl. They are going to vary for how many times you can cook them. I think I've done 10 or more on the same head/limbs when I had to strip the doll and start over.
