Hi, I am having an issue with things sticking to my doll. For instance, ink from other papers that happen to touch my painted (and already cooked) doll seem to stick onto the doll, and then I can't get it off without taking an eraser to it, but then it seems if I rub the eraser to hard on the the doll, it wears the paint off too. Is this normal? If so, are you just careful about what the baby can touch?
im finding the imperfections in the vinyl that show up right after i put the paint on is a pain as the paint sticks really well to that and i cant get it off, i have discovered this on ALL my babies and i have now decided that my babies come with birth marks and it just makes them individual. mind you this is more common with berenguer. I used acetone, but found it took off all the paint, but because I didn,t want to strip it all I just play arround after ,untill I got to look decent enough, I already had ebrows and lashes done, I probably should have started again, but my husband is a bit of a critic and would normaly saw thats not right . So I just kept putting on layers, it's my first time with Genecis . Its not to bad now. You dont realize Much flesh tone you put on ,even though it is thin. June M from Oz.
I'm not sure about your doll but I know this will happen (be sticky) if you take paint off with acetone and then not wash the baby with soap and water afterwards. janet
First rule of painting dolls: Have a clean environment/workspace! Never have papers, toys, food, anything else besides your paints and doll equipment around your babies when painting them.
To remove ink from dolls use a benzoil peroxide acne cream, glob it on the mark, let set for 24 hours and wash well. Repeat if necessary.
