Welcome, Ms Sunny, First names can be used so we know who we are talking to, Sorry you have been unwell. There is no better place or space you can be on, all the ladies on here are marvelious and caring, and will answer any question you need to know about. As for Mohair, depending on how thick and what size head, it is better to be on the safe side and buy a little more than you need. It will always come in handy. You can also dye it for the next baby if you don't want to give it the same colour. ( Welcome to the forum )June M from Oz
MsSunny are you from sunny Queensland, Australia? I had this all typed out only my computer decided to shut down so I lost it All. When you want to post photo,s. You go yo Artist Showcase, Start a new topic and then tell a story about the baby you want to post. Scroll down and you will come to Images, click on the little box and scroul down some more it will say ,Brouse, click on that and your images should appear, after they have down loaded, you click on Submit,And (WALLAH) there you have them. MsSunny. Here's my take on the mohair. It all depends on what size head you root, what quality the mohair is, and how thickly you root. The quality really matters. I got a 1 oz. pack of cheap standard mohair, and had none left over after thickly rooting a 22" Berenguer. However, I had a lot of fuzzy, matted, short pieces left that were totally unusable. I would guess that that messed up part consisted of at least half of the mohair. So if you got good mohair where you can use every little bit (and such mohair does exist), you're fine with half an ounce no matter what size your baby is or even if you root quite thickly. June, you'll probably use all the mohair you got, as it's fairly low quality, and you'll probably end up with a lot of waste like I did. Sorry. MsSunny, I hope this info is helpful. If it's good hair, don't buy any more unless you run out (highly unlikely).

Hello Sonja,I,m glad you were able to work out how to post from my directions, he is beautifull, i, also cant wait to see him with his hair. June M from Oz
Quality hair is the biggest and most important factor you invest in (been there and done that)! Reading all the posts there is nothing that I would want to add to the great advice they have given you except this. Depending on the length that you want and the length that you have. Lets say it is 6 or 7 inches long. I cut my hair in half for longer hair and in thirds for shorter hair. Even in 3rds rooting from the cut end gives you length. So that I don't have the flyaway look and I know how long I want it I trim it as I go. And you can get several wispy babies heads from this. Heavier rooting one to two heads.
I really like the kit in your avatar. :) Yes, pretty much everyone is right! If you buy the less expensive stuff, you might have a lot of waste or not, depending on how you root, which needle, etc. as there can be much waste with that stuff. You should still be able to get at least one head with a 1/2 oz, More if you micro root. Secrist does have some good mohair, although I'm waiting for the ultra premium to come in. Maybe early spring.
I just purchased some from ebay (bbbeliever), it's awesome so far, now I just gotta root it!
