To bake Genesis paints, I lay them on a baking sheet, right? What should I line my baking sheet with to avoid scorching? Thanks.

i use an old pillow case i don't use any baking paper though as i found where the pieces lie on this the paint can kinda pool. i think its something to do with the waxiness of the paper, i just lay them straight on the fabric.
I have begun painting and I decided to use a terry towel. It's working just fine. Thank you all for the help.

Pat C, There is a new plastic baking tray here, I was wondering if it would be good for our vynal babies, you don't have to keep replacing it and you can also bake on it and wipe it clean. IS THAT OK, or notJune M from Oz.
June, I have a sheet of silicone for my baking sheets too, but don't use it for dolls because I'm not sure what the reaction between the two would be... just reuse your parchment paper as long as you keep it clean.

I don't put my doll limps flat on any surface. I line my tray with an old piece of towling and I use a wooden drying rack to hang my doll pieces and I stick that in the oven. It is safe to do so!!!! And voilla no more fuzzies and lint on the limps,

I thought of that as well, it's in the works . I have a drying stand I use outside the oven for holding my limbs. I need to make on with shorter dowels so the dowels are up against the limbs as they heat up. Don't need any holes in the vinyl . Thanks for all the advice!
Well I was just going to put the polyfiber around the pan (I heard to use about 2 inches of that under and around the limbs and head to make sure nothing hits up agains the vinyl) anyway I went to the store and got one of those large roasting pans to use. Oh well. Have you watched the video showing how to use the heat gun? She looks like she holds it pretty close. :o/

Ya, it can be pretty tricky if you're not used to it. And it also depends on WHO'S vinyl, vinyl/silicone mix kit you are doing.
Here's something funny (well it wasn't at the time)... I had a BB kit, you know, one of the "earthworm pink" ones (lol) and I had done quite a bit of painting on it. I think it's an Avery kit. Well anyway, I had my arms down on the cookie sheet in the countertop oven and forgot my baby. The poor little fingers got flat and melted right to the pan, they looked like suction cups on an octopus! No fingerprints for that little bub! :o She also lost a foot in that one, the vinyl went flat from the heat and the entire foot stuck to the pan and I tried to pull so now she has really looooooong toes! YIKES! Besides that, I didn't have an oven thermometer in at the time and I found out it was too hot!!!
Good news is I got new limbs, bad news... I still haven't had the nerve to put her back in the oven!!! Silly huh? So ya, you really have to watch temps no matter whether it's with an oven or a heat gun. Besides, I only use the heat gun for lips, nails, eyebrows, and the 6" mini's. I want to be sure that the rest of the doll is really cured!
