glazing gel and Matte finish

Hi ladies.  Do you have to cook these or do they air dry? 
I am almost done my 4th doll.  It is a BB baby taite.  I will try and post pictures of them all soon.

Hello Jean, I 'm online but I think T.e.a will be able to answer this question,Found in the Secrists Guide that, with the Glazing gel you use iton the eyelids but thats upto you ,doesn't say any thing about heating. and it doesn't say anything about matt finish,sorry.weirdfaceJune m from Oz

matte varnish is definetly cooked i dont use secrist paints so im not sure on the glazing gel hun some are cooked and some arnt usualy if they arnt they have airdry written on most of them sorry cant help more :(

Hey TEA, do you mind if I ask what paints you use? I just know about secrist paints, and I do love them, but I also like to try out new things. Just wondering. Thanks.

I use genesis but I make my own mixes I have tried bountiful baby pre mix but the only one i liked was their lip nail blush one i jsut make my own colours now (((hugs)))

Genisis glazing gel and matte finish both need to be baked or heated with the heat gun.

Pat C, how long should the matt varnish be baked for, as no heat gun for this old girl. Buggered up the triplets when I tried to use it. Thanks.weirdfaceJune M from oz

I dont use matte varnish very often but when i do i heat set it at 130 degrees for 12 mins let it completely cool then reset for 8 mins i like to really make sure it set it can do nasty things if it isnt hehehe((hugs)))

Leah, T.E.A, Looks like everyone else is asleep, I thought it would be the same temp as the painting, that's good to know before I start. Are you celebrating, I went to Nth Ireland in 1987 for my Fourtieth Birthday We left here on the 13th Mar and arrived on our 15th and finish the day on theirs, had a long Birthday that year, but we took the other four kids with us and it was cold and wet , and snowy weather. Had to go and buy a dryer for Sams sisters house or we would have had heaps of cloths hanging arround the place. On my 50th we went to Dreamworld and went on the Tower of Terror, it was awesome. I thought I'd chicken out, but when we got to be the next to have our turn, I counted the time and it only took 20seconds so I thought ,yes I can handle that. hoped I didn,t crap my pants.weirdfaceJune M from Oz

Have a few for me, I might feel the effects, as I don't drtink, because I had an alcoholic husband for a few years, you know why, I could drink 6-8 Brandy lime and sodas and it didn't do a thing for me , except if i mixed it with wine than I'd be a blabbering idot. Best not to have any. But you can have one for the little Angels.(((HUGS)))weirdface June M
