Hi, everyone I'm so new at reborning i haven't even started i've been buying things that i will need i have the art of newborning dvd video by secrist, I haven't bought any new kits yet I figured i would start out on some dolls that i have found around at the goodwill and such just in case i make a boo boo i guess my questions is about paint. I bought some Bloomin baby tones from bloomersnbows.com and was wondering if anyone of you have tried them? I know on the secrist dvd that i have they talk about how the acrilic paint can sometimes crack when the vinyl doll is squeezed, and since I have never tried this paint i guess or any paint yet for that matter i was just a little curious.Any advice on reborning would be greatly apprieciated i just can't wait to try to make some of these beautiful dolls and also i read on one of the forums of some doll kits for 19.99 and was wondering if those are still available? Thanks
The place that had the $19.99 doll kit sale has ended the sale. Sorry!
As far as the B&B paint, I've not used it. My first 2 dolls I did with the acrylic paints for the internal wash and the creme blushes and sharpies for blushing and veining! Then I started using Genesis Heat Set Paints and continue to use those.
Hello Lisa, Welcome to the forum, I have used AS artist paints, they are awful, at present I am using Inks but am waiting on sets of the two new petite sets and the beginers petite set of Genesis paints, I can,t comment myself on them but have heard they are the best to use, more realistic. If you check on some of the Topics or go to Precious lullabyes website and ebay, you will see what I mean.June M from Oz.
