Colors needed to Paint Darker Skinned babies using Beautiful Babies 3!

I was overjoyed when my package arrived unexpectedly today.   I was expecting it UPS so I was still waiting for a tracking number!

Anyhow, I reading the book (on CD) and found the colors I need.  Here is the list:

Flesh 03
Flesh 02
Flesh 04
Flesh 05
Flesh 06
Burnt Umber
Yellow Ochre
Sap Green (yes, you can use another
green value)
Phthalo Blue (yes, you can use another
blue value)
Carbon Black
Titanium White
Genesis Red
Pyrol Red 02
Quinacridone Crimson 01

With the order I just placed I still need the Crimson and the Carbon Black (I bought mars black as it is what Secrist sells).  I'll have to place another order, it seems.  *sigh*

Anyhow,  I'm excited because I will soon get to start my new baby!

At the rate I'm going, it is going to be a while!

I need 5 dyes to color the vinyl. I can only find 3 of them. The other two places who are supposed to sell them sell the brand but not the colors! I think I'm going to skip the 2 I can't find and just go with the ones I can!

*whew*

I'm also going to order a 2nd doll I want to paint. Since I need to make up a $5 batch of dye I figure I might as well do two at once! Jette by Elly Knoops is absolutely beautiful. She didn't do much for me until I saw her done as a dark skinned baby. So when I have some dolly $$ I'm going to order her and then dye them both at once.

The mars black should work okay for you since so little is used. Because the books are written by an author not affiliated with Secrist Doll Company the techniques are not necessarily the same as what we traditionally promote - this sometimes leads to slightly different paint colors being used.

Have you tried the African American technique showed in our DVD Special Reborn Techniques Part 1?  You can watch a preview of that DVD at this link.
