Brush cleaning and care

Hi Christie inbetween colours i clean my brushes with my solvent thinners I have a little egg cup half filled i dip them into and wipe them until they are clear on paper towel, when i have finished using them i give them a good wash in hot water and detergant its important to make sure all the detergant is rinsed out completely and make sure they are dry before you use them again. hope this helps (((hugs0))

Christie, I use 90% alcahol as suggested by Genesis. You can find it in the health and beauty section of any store.

I just use brush cleaner soap and water (used to be available at local Michaels craft store). That works for me. Otherwise if I want to clean and put them away for a while, I use a bar of Fels Naptha soap and come brush conditioner.

If you are using Genesis paints you don't NEED to clean them up. Just wipe on a cloth or paper towel till they are fairly clean. Genesis tells us this is ok. Matter of fact they would prefer we do it this way.

To clean or not to clean, is that the question? hehehe lol

This is where you can find out about cleaning your brushes, If you are only using the brush for one colour I would suggest just wiping on paper towel.
