Round eyes!!!

yawnHi,  I really need help on this one.  I bought the most beautiful glass eyes.  German hand blown but they are completely round instead of half size.  There is no way I can cut them or split them.

Any help on how to set round eyes will be greatly appreciated.  I thought probably I would have to cut the flap out completely but I'm not too sure about the glueing.  Has anyone out there had this same situation arise?
Thanks in advance for any feedback on this.

I have used the full round eyes in my reborns many times. Mostly I do that so I have more control over turning and positioning them.

You will have to insert them from inside the head, and I usually cut the eye socket so the flap is 3/4 cut around. Then when you insert your eyes, if the flap fits, fine. if not I put it to where it fits well enough, then use E6000 to glue them in. I pile on the glue inside to make sure they hold.

hmmm  not sure if this is breaking one of the rules because I have seen alot of talk of that around here but am only a newbie.  I saw a neat video on inserting eyes on the masterpiece site. I am sure a variation of this could work for you, if your eyes are all glass you may just have to tape the eleastic thread to the back to make the trick work.

Cheers!
