Looking at the strawberry paints they all look to have the same consistancy are they all thinned with genesis thinner? The blush and the crease and wrinkle paint don't seem to be as pigment rich as the straight genisis colours, they look when tested on the back of my hand as translucent as the lip colour. This will be what I use at my first attempt at painting a baby I also purchased other petite paints and the burnt umber and the periwinkle blue are thicker than the srawberry blush and the strawberry wrinkle paint. When I tested the strawberry blush colour on the back of my hand it looked nice and translucent already. I will be already to thin them if I have to, I have chosen to go the pre mixed colours to start with and I will be using the secrist dvd's to guide me.

The strawberry paints are made the same way as the other lip, blush, and wrinkle color are in the "peaches n cream" colors. The lip color already has Genesis thinning medium it it so it doesn't need thinning. The blush and wrinkle colors do need thinning and you can use either the Genesis thinning medium or the low odor liquid thinner. I prefer the liquid to the other.

I noticed on the Genesis thinning medium it said not to thin to more than a certain ratio. Does that not apply for our dolls, just people painting on canvas?
When you look at the colours in the jars they all have the same consitentancy so this was why I asked the question. Then I went in to the sectrist web site and it said that they were all already thinned and to use them and spread them thinly. They all look as though they are thinned in the same way whereas the burnt umber for example that I ordered for the brows is in that thixatropic state that you have described.
