Oh man what a time I've had. First the leg then sick with some stomach thingy. I don't know but finally finished the photo shoot for my hispanic baby. Here are some pics. I'm supposed to be starting on my AA baby from the Alina sculpt but since I was sick I've lost my motivation. Ever happen to anyone?

Hello Ladies,

thank you so much for your compliments. I am feeling better finally and I hope all of you are feeling better too! My AA baby may need to wait a bit as I just can't seem to get my mind going on her at the moment. Hopefully it'll be soon before the rush begins for the fall and winter with my kids and me going back to school.

Glad you are feeling better, Emily. It's okay to take a break every now and then. It's a big job to get kids back to school and make sure they are ready to learn. Looking forward to seeing your AA baby when you return!

When ever you decide to make your AA baby I know it will be beautiful. Good for you for going back to school. I was talking to my husband today about going back to school taking 3 credits, but I don't know if I can concentrate and take test like I use to, I am a licensed hairdresser (retired) and I have an associates degree in child development I used to teach preschool in the headstart program and work at a department store until I got hurt now I am disabled due to an accident. Anway I wish you well in your studies.

I think your AA baby will be wonderful as well. Back to school time is always a crazy time of the year. Glad i finished up with that last year but now or course is college semesters! LOL

Dee I think it's a wonderful idea taking going back and have no doubt you'll do just fine =) I thought the same thing about test taking in my position at work we have to take "civil service" tests for promotions YUCK I just had one Thursday, and although I have to say my test taking skills did change over the years I think they change for the better to some ways. Like everything else as you get older I find I have more patience when reading the questions and trying to find the answers. I'm not in that big of a hurry anymore to just get done LOL!

I finished college about 15 years ago, I did pretty good I kept a 3.00 gpa, but now I don't know if I could do it, i am usually not a person to say I can't, age works on your mind lol.

Shoot I am going back next spring after I get settled into my new place. However, Can't get settled if no one buys my home.... lol But I am hoping soon before the snow starts to come. I am disliking winter and for the most part I am drinding get out and shoveling.. grrr it get's cold! lol but I am enjoying this warm/cool days and I think I might have to remember how hot this summer has been compared to the cold! Anyways,

I was thinking about getting a Beautiful Friends for my niece... she loves those babies lol and this way she would have a friend and a personal message right on her little friend from her aunt!!! I think it will be great!

Good luck with all your studies, for me though I think I would have to give school a miss. I'm learning soething new everyday. You all have something to teach me, just by being friends that we realy don't know in person. How cool is that. As for a winter over there, I would be like a bear and have to go into hibernation. I would have loved to stay in bed but my little Princess says, come on Nana, get up, I can't watch ABC kids on TV by myself. So much energy, don't know where mine has gone. XXXXX JUne.

Aww I think that's is the cutest when a granddaughter and a grandmother spends time together... That's the greatest memories EVER!!! I love what little memories I do have of my grandmother...

Awe thanks I am really thinking about it I don't know what I want to study yet. By the way JJ is doing fine, I went to get him today to give my daugther a break because she has not slept well since he became ill, but he's his old sweet self again.

Hey, if I can go back to school with my disabilities and brain injury and do ok then any one of us can do it. I have some issues with tests but other than that (and maybe having the teacher go over the material with me several times) its all good.

And I'll get to find out how grandkids are next year... my daughter is having our first grandchild. At first all I could say is... "wow!" and kept repeating myself. She is 34 and never wanted kids. This one was not planned but she is making the best of it. Maybe it will straighten her how. I won't get to see it often but there's always the internet and phone. :)

Thanks ladies. Ya, she even texted me to find out if she should buy maternity pants or jeans. I said it's good to have a pair of dress pants but since she wears jeans alot, go for the jeans.
And since it's the only child she's going to have (as far as we know) I said it would be great to find clothes at a thrift store because you really don't need them for that long. Why spend a ton on something temporary? She agreed!

So now I'm looking for baby stuff to send. But we have to wait several more months for her ultrasound so we know what the baby will be (besides a baby hahaha). I have a ceramic lamp that I started making years ago and never finished it. I also have to go out to my storage locker and get some baby fabric and start making her a few quilts. :) Oooohhh gotta get my room downstairs sorted out so I can start sewing again! Now I'm getting REALLY excited!!
We're trying not to go overboard yet because she's still not quite 3 mos along just in case, but it's hard to contain myself! And of course I have PLENTY of 0-6 mos baby clothing already hehehe (gee, I wonder why hahaha).

LOL I depeleted my 0-6 months boy supply with Julian! Oh Dee's right your going to love being a grandmom! I always pictured it meant I would be considered old but nope not the case! My husband tell me all the time I'm too young to be a grandmother ...he hehe..I wouldn't have it any other way!

Thank you. The only thing I'm having issues with is apparently there is a "pregnant women do not eat this" list. Like minimal fish/seafood, and other stuff she's not supposed to eat. Like there are so many things I don't feel she will be able to enjoy her probably only pregnancy.

I pretty much ate what I wanted and it didn't affect my kids. *shrugs*

I was the same way. With my daughter I wanted only healthy things, lots of fruits and veggies. My son was junk food, they both arrived healthy babies it didn't seem to matter what I ate.

I know they say you shouldn't eat Bree or Camabert Cheese in pregnancy because of the bacterior(spell Check) in it is no good for the baby and I suppose some fish have mercury in them, but as you all say we ate whatever, but that was along time ago. Well for me anyway. Congratulations Pat. Is it going to be Nana or Grandma? As you say about the thrift shop, over her we have Opp Shops or St. Vinnies also known as Vinnies Boutique. I have just started buying from them for my older G'daughters washing them up and putting new ribbon or hem on the with a bit of modernization and they are unaware where they come from as they are only Pre Loved and not very worn. AND they have the LABLE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LOL XXXX JUne.

I think it's going to be Nana, June. And I think Poppa for grandpa. We'll see. I know she' studying Italian so she keeps coming up with all kinds of things. :)

I like the thrift stores, I have gotten many a new item for my babies (real and other wise) and no one ever knew the difference. My girls both love to shop second hand stores. Don't have St Vinnies here but my sis in law does in Wisconsin. She gives to them all the time.

Ya, apparently nowadays the parents don't know anything. Dani tells me all about the "womans center" and her drs and midwife says...
but she's a first time mother so we'll see how things change and she comes to mom when those others arent around any more. I can understand the fish/mercury thing though. And she is taking care of herself better and minding the drs. So I can't scoff at that.

Hello Ladies,

Sorry for the long absence but things have been really crazy. First I thank you so much for your encouraging words and compliments. I really appreciate that, you have no idea how much that helps when everything else is going downhill. Dee never say never when it comes to school. I have had a set back but it's okay, I just keep going. I find that test taking becomes easier with age (oh man did i just say age? lol). Due to life experience I feel I was able to reason better and received better results. The thing that set me back was ex-husband issues. His mother is quite ill and after 7 years I thought it wise to let my children see their grandmother before it was too late. Well, we were ambushed with his "presence" and it was just a mess. No violence, but the kids and I fell to pieces, his fell to pieces, and then the house full of family fell apart

Instead of them seeing their grandmother it became a mission of the family to try to put us back together. Needless to say I haven't been back there, but my ex's sister calls and texts constantly trying to convince me he has changed. School is shot to the wind because I couldn't even think straight. New health issues have appeared and I'm just going to move forward. My AA baby has had to take a back seat but now I believe she will be more therapy for me. The good news to this is that as I tried to forget the fiasco with my ex's family I was determined to get the website up and running. (my depression debilitates me to the point where I don't leave my home, so I make the best of my time.) The site is up and I was able to adopt out my baby Margaret smile

She went quickly so that was good, but my boy Thomas is not doing so well. The last bid wouldn't even cover the cost of making him, so I may hold on to him. My hispanic baby will be up for adoption tomorrow so hopefully she'll do okay. So sorry so long but it has been quite the few months. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well. That thankfully was a good day here. I actually celebrated Thanksgiving this year. It was weird for me but nice to chat with family and catch up. My uncle was even very supportive and happy with my reborning! I showed him my current auction and he had some ideas of his own! Wow smile

that was nice. Okay so I'm going but I look forward to chatting and sharing new things with you all. Pat, congrats on the new baby coming! BTW anyone see that reborning tutorial by Denise Pratt? Hated it! Boring and I fell asleep. The one that Secrist puts out was much more helpful to me. The video didn't teach me anything new.

I know my sons is. I cant complain, Sam and I will be married 45 yrs on the 13 th Jan, not bad these days. Hope everything comes togetter for you. How would your baby boy look, dressed as a girl? Oh Em! I'm so sorry you (and the kids) had to go through the "ex" thing. I think we all hate that part equally! It's almost always a mess. Luckily I don't have to deal with that any longer. my oldest (the pregnant one) doesn't even want to tell her father (my ex) about the baby. I said 2 things... it doesn't mean he has to be in the baby's life... it will show him what he's missing out on!
Neither her nor I are going to tell him but I'm sure his half-sister will . I invited her (and my neice) to the surprise baby shower but never heard from her. I thought that was rude. But then again, she never really liked me. She placates me when we are at my ex's family reunion (which I am welcome at and he's not). But I agree... ex's can be a pain when there are kids involved, grown kids or not.

We are glad to have you back with us hun. And I'm glad to hear about your website being up now. And I know about the depression thing... I have that plus PTSD from our motorcycle crash in Aug. Just can't function some times.

So glad you are back and glad things are starting to work out for you. :)

Thank you both so much! June, to my surprise Thomas finally sold yesterday morning at the last minute! smile

I was very happy, he's heading to FL as soon as the payment clears. I am thankful because he would not look nice at all as a girl confuse

He's started off as a girl and I couldn't see him as one, so I made him a boy. Thanks to you both for the ex support. Yesterday we went up again after several weeks of my ex sister-in-law and mother-in-law asking. Of course as I was going out the door she tells me the ex is there. He cancelled on his neices wedding to be there (oh joy). Three of my kids agreed to still see him. We went and it was the most awkward feeling. I didn't say hi (which was probably rude) but I felt so uncomfortable no words would come out. He was supposed to apologize to the kids but didn't. My oldest son remained silent the whole time asking if we could leave. He tried numerous times to initiate a conversation but I could not. I just nodded and talked to everyone else. When it was time to visit my mother-in-law (whom is very ill thus the reason for contact) the sister suddenly couldn't go to take us there. But he was available (of course). Oh man, how sucky. When we all walked in her door she was beaming and the rest of us loathing and seething. He tried to act like we were on talking terms and joking all day. That was it I cut the visit short (7min) and we were out of there! I apologized for the short visit and promised to visit her first next time but I really don't believe there will be another time. He asked me when we were coming again and I just left at I didn't know. His sister invited us to her New Year's Party too. Oh my goodness what is going on here? Are they daft? My head was spinning, my daughter had a migrane, and my legs were rubber bands. Panic! We left only to be stuck in 2 hours of holiday traffic, so it actually took us 3 hours to make an hour trip home. Terrible day it was. I don't know what to do....my daughter and middle son want to try to fix things. My other two don't. I don't even want to be in the same room. At the same time I'm trying to teach them forgiveness for the sake of being a good person and longterm health. Does it get any better? I'm trying to be a peacemaker but I don't know about this.....

This is my first reborn. He was made from the Zoe (Zoey?) kit that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. I worked on him based on the instructions in the kit and gave the bald baby to my mom for her birthday in July. As I researched more, I asked for him back, repainted him, added hair and weighted him with beads. I entered him in the "county fair" and he won 2nd place. smile

I made several mistakes - including making him too blue with my internal wash. In fluorescent lights he looks a bit morbid! I got the best pics in warm afternoon sunlight. Does anyone have advice on the internal wash?

I've been trying to submit a pic but it just won't take!
