Hi all, i hope i don't come off as boasting here - its not my intent, i'm just so excited and had to share...

I just had a baby go on action for $610 (plus postage) !!! I'm over the moon !!! its my bigest sale ever - previous record was $450, but mostly my babies have gone around the $350 mark.

Its crazy... thrilling... exciting!!! and i think i'm in a little bit of shock LOL

thank you -- it has become my whole life and it just seems so right!!!


I've always been artistic and had sold one or two paintings in the past, but never thought my work was worth much, wasn't any good, nothing special... i'd never "advertise" or show off my work and when asked what my talents or gifts were i'd never be able to say i was proud of anything or thought it worth mentioning....

with reborning i am able to see my work and appreciate it and feel proud of my talent, and at the risk of sounding conceited i do think my work is really good - and its so very rewarding.

I don't think you sound conceited at all. I think we all do this because of our love and passion for newborning. Selling something just validates it, doesn't it? Oh..and also lets us keep feeding this wonderful addiction! laughing.gif

wow thanks for letting us know Secrist will bear that in mind. So in the UK, if a doll sells for around about 250 gbp we can still qualify?

this one wasn't a secrist unfortunetly, however i did have a secrist go for $510 over the weekend but again i used BB limbs so i don't think that one qualifies either.

:( it would be exciting to be featured, and i think it sounds awesome that you're going to start this feature artist section... hopefully it will bring some more experianced artists back to secrist and help shift the perception that secrist sculpts are only for beginners and not worth much to the collector. Secrist babies can be just as beautiful as all other kits out there, its about the artistry not the brand!!!

ooo i like the idea of a featured artist section on the site it will give all us reborn artist a nice goal to strive for now :) 500USA is about 570AUD and i think that is very achievable its a shame Naomi hun because your little one was gorgeous! and would look lovely on the secrist site ((((hugs)))

Hi,

You can submit any doll as long as the head is Secrist (since we now sell the heads separately). And yes, in the UK the equivalent to $500 USD is just fine. :)

Contact dolls@secristdolls.com if you have any questions about the specifics. If the doll was sold on eBay they'd a link to the winning bid if possible.

I hope you can ALL be featured! ;)

ok i emailed regarding Alexander.... but i got an automated reply that they're out of the office till next week. So i guess it will be a while before we get to see him on there.


but um... did i say WOW!!!!!

lol - seriously lost for words. i assumed that i'd used different limbs that nothing would come of this... but WHHooo Hoooo!!!!

i'm anxious about how my lollipop (jewel) is going to go... she's not moving much just yet... but Alexander didn't really take off till the last 30mins and i've had a number email asking if they bid can they laybuy her, so i think a few are still planning on casting a bid in those last moments. 19hrs to go so the count down has started!!!

Hi I am so thrilled for you well done!!! How long have you been doing this for? And how many babies have you sold? If you dont mind me asking that is. I cant wait to sell one of mine but will have to take some advice first I think to see what a fair prixe would be???
