Hi there, I have been told that it is possible to root eyelashes on a open eyed baby doll!! What are your views on this please?
Thanks Lynne

Some people do it but it's not all that popular. It can be very difficult to do. You have to make sure you insert the needle (and make sure it's the right size for the eyelid) at the correct angle. You wouldn't want lashes coming out of the wrong place on the lid. omg.gif

I did see a pic of someone in forum who rooted an open-eyed and did a nice job but had to glue or somehow fix the lashes to the eye so they would curl up in the right direction.

I'm sure someone else will come in and make a comment or two...

Hi there, Thank you for your prompt reply. I think I'll keep to just rooting sleeping babies.

You could always go and get some scrap heads or dolls at a thrift store or a garage sale (doesn't matter how they look and low cost) and use them as "guinea pigs" for practice rooting. idea

One thing I might suggest Lynne is to warm the heads when rooting hair or even eyelashes as it helps make the vinyl more plyable and easier to root smile

Pat,

Nothing is really up. I am just confused as always :) Did I see correctly that you are from MN? I am in SD, so I might actually be able to make it to one of your classes one of these days!
